Happy macaron day!
As someone who grew up in Brazil, I don’t quite understand the fuss over Valentine’s day.
I’ve never made a messy valentine out of macaroni, either.
And I’m okay that.
I think it’s fine to buy a bazillion balloons and chocolates in the name of love. I also think it’s fine not to.
But I definitely think it’s fine to buy a bazillion chocolates in the name of anything.
The same goes for macarons.
Vanilla, basil-white chocolate, salted caramel, mint, raspberry and pistachio.
These French pillows of bliss deserve a day to be celebrated and devoured so,

I love these. I went to the La Duree shop in Paris and was in heaven amidst all the colors and flavors.
O mon dieu, I can imagine… macarons IN Paris! What could be more magical?
