Weird is good.
The international vegan restaurant chain, Loving Hut, is a little… well, weird.
But that’s totally fine because the food is a toothsome adventure, you just have to keep an open mind. (Isn’t that true for essentially everything in life, though?)
Loving Hut was innovated by Supreme Master Ching Hai, and its restaurants advocate a vision that “all beings can live in peace, love and harmony with each other.”
Which is good thing, right?
Well, regardless of our beliefs, one thing we can all agree on is that weird is good. Especially when it’s deep fried.
The menu is a vegan paradise of meatless renditions of everything from New York steak to spaghetti.
Learn to embrace the realm of textured soy proteins and foreign menu items, like the Sea Wonder (pictured above).
Sure, the Loving Hut may be a little strange with its Supreme Master Television channel always on but, who cares?
I’m here for the food, and you should too.
Oh, what’s that you say? You want to hear a fun anecdote regarding Loving Hut?
My first day in Paris began with le déjeuner at “the best spot for veggie burgers,” which ironically was the Loving Hut I’ve grown to love in Orlando… and also loved in Paris!
Alors, à la prochaine!
